Cathedral lime tree festival

This year, the "Citizens' Initiative for the Green Cathedral Square" is organising the Cathedral Lime Tree Festival on Cathedral Square for the tenth time. Under the fragrant lime trees, guests can stroll along the numerous stands, linger and listen to the music and discover other offers.

The KinderDomBauhütte will also be taking part with a stand. There, visitors of all ages can try their hand at the hands-on project "Botany in Stone". The project is modelled on the leaf ornaments on the west rood screen of Naumburg Cathedral, which show detailed depictions of plants such as oak, vine and maple. Using their own sketches, all guests can make their own leaf relief from aerated concrete stone using chisels, rasps and files.
