Holiday activities of the KinderDomBauhütte during the Christmas holidays

Step into Uta’s world. During the holidays, we introduce children to our world heritage site and the fascinating world of a construction workshop in the 13th century. At first, we always explore the cathedral together, discovering works of art from almost 1000 years of history. Then the children get a chance to slip into the role of a glazier, stone mason or craftsmen and give free rein to their creativity.

Holiday Activities during Christmas Holidays

Sparkling stars in glass
Production of your own glass pendant
Cost: 15,00 €
The pupils first visit the Gothic cathedral windows in the west choir before creating their own masterpiece. Following the example of medieval artists, they cut glass to size, break and grind it, and solder it into a shining star or angel.

The children follow in the footsteps of the Three Wise Men from the well-known Christmas story and set off in search of stars in and around the cathedral. Afterwards, each child makes their own shining poinsettia out of transparent paper as a souvenir.

Each child receives a Domhütten passport, which is stamped on each visit. There is a little surprise for every six stamps.

Our places on the holiday activities are primarily reserved for holiday children. Accompanying persons (max. 1 per child) receive discounted admission to Naumburg Cathedral including participation in a public guided tour of the cathedral. They pay only € 9.50 instead of € 12.50.

After-school groups can also book our holiday activities separately.
