"The Scriptures in Hiding" - Guided Tour through Archive and Library

Naumburg Cathedral looks back on a fascinating history of almost 1000 years. The more than 30,000 precious manuscripts and 2,500 documents in the archive and library holdings also bear witness to this. The medieval historian and director of the cathedral archives Dr. Matthias Ludwig opens for you the artfully redesigned library rooms of the Westklausur and reveals what surprising stories the documents hide.

The special tour of the archive and library takes place every first Saturday of the month from April to October. We recommend a timely reservation via our Online shop or a registration via our visitor centre.
